In the session, our instructor Sir Garry imparted invaluable knowledge on various lighting techniques that are crucial when filming. He expertly demonstrated the art of directing the viewer's attention towards the main subject by using angles and lighting to create a specific atmosphere and mood.
In the second part of the session, Sir Garry asked for two volunteers to act as subjects in his wedding sample shots. He then took the time to explain how lighting and angles can be used to create a truly impactful and engaging scene, and how they can influence the focus of the viewers.
Furthermore, we had the privilege of watching Sir Garry's work from a wedding and birthday video that he worked on with an elderly couple and their daughter. His ability to capture the essence, key interactions of the couple, and memorable moments of the family was nothing short of exceptional and inspiring for us as BMMA students. We left the session with an even deeper appreciation for the art of filming and how lighting and angles can be used to create truly remarkable content.
